If they made these films now, it would be even worse than Rings of Power and even farther away from the Legendarium.

Right now my only issue with Jackson’s films are the green soapy cleansing Army of the Dead that wipes up Pelennor Fields, when they did no such thing in the book—it was the southern men of Gondor that reinforced Minas Tirith and the Pelennor.
