The death of Saruman is the best scene in the whole trilogy, it was huge misstep cutting that out of the real film. The Mouth of Sauron scene is also epic and should have remained in the film. I guess they really wanted to keep that PG-13 rating since both are hardcore scenes. Time to rewatch the trilogy in their extended cuts and see what other scenes I missed
shareYeah I was pretty frustrated at the theater back in 2003 ROTK opening night, this stuff was supposed to be in the film, it made zero sense to omit it. As well as the Scouring of the Shire but wow that would have been depressing after the Green Soapy Cleansing Power army of the Dead cleaned up the Pelennor. (Doesn’t happen in the book)
