How did Alvin ...

...manage to move the dead deer to the side of the road, by the building, so he could eat it by the fire ? The dead animal must be very heavy.

Did he drag it, by rope, with his mower ? He couldn't lift it. He wouldn't cut pieces of it and leave the rest on the road. He's too much of a gentleman to do that.

So, ladies and gents, any ideas ? Appreciate you comments. Thank you.

This would be a relevant question to ask in a movie about survival in the nature, but here, I´m afraid, it´s quite beside the point. Apparently he found a way to accomplish that and since the exact method is not shown, it probably wasn´t anything that woud have added to the film in terms of drama.

I think he just cut off a slice of meat to cook over the fire leaving the body across the street.

You already stated the most logical, likely and simple answer in your post. Dragged it with his mower.

I agree, he did have a mover and probably some rope in that wagon. I'm only going with that option since he seemed like the kind of guy who would atleast get it out of other peoples way.

Its also entirely possible that since he was from the country, and was on a pretty must empty road, that he dressed what he needed and didn't move it.

No one would take the entire deer carcass for one or 2 meals, he only took the freshest meat and cooked that. You people obviously have little experience with road kill, lol.
