Of all the movies(live-action or animated) that came out in 2002, this was definitely the best of them all. It has it all. Good characters,Good story, and an awesome music score! I've watched this movie several times and it never gets dull. Why it didn't win the oscar for best animated film is beyond me. It is superior to that other movie that had "spirits" in it!

i love horses but i thought there are better movies out there. this one was interesting though. at least they studied on what they were animating. id like to see you try animate a horse on a few million sheets of paper

After months of watching excerpts, I finally watched the entire film a few days ago. It displays a great depth of courage, heart and soul. I'd recommend it to all my friends.

So did the last good Disney movie, Treasure Planet.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

What was so great about "Lilo & Stitch"? Not to be defensive, I think "Spirit" was the superior movie.

I won't call it the best movie of 2002, but one of the best. To be honest, when I saw it back at 2002, I enjoyed it, but found the ending too sappy. But now I appreciate the movie more.

Best Movie (live action or animated)? NO. Best animated movie? Perhaps.
'Spirit' is a wonderful movie. Beautifully animated in 2D. Perhaps the best animated film that Dreamworks have produced so far.
But that year it had to compete against another magnificent animated film in 2D: Hayao Miyzaki's "Spirited Away".
I really love 'Spirit' and IMO it should have won the oscar for best animated film in 2003 IF 'Spirited Away' had not competed the same year.

I am not sure whether it is the best film of 2002, but this film as I have said is beautiful and underrated, with amazing animation and a nice score.

My 10-year-old daughter has loved this film, since it first came out. It is a beautiful film.
