Are the movies that follow this one prequels? Because in the later movies and in "What's New, Scooby-Doo" they seem a lot younger... Where in this one, they seem like adults, I mean Daphne is a Talk-show host, Fred is a producer, Shaggy is an ex-customs clerk and Velma is a bookstore owner... Now, those don't seem like jobs that are passed out to teenagers...

Actually i think the storyline is probably not canonical with "What's New Scooby Doo?". In which case if it was, I'd say this happens some time after the series.

shareAcually this movie and the 3 that followed: Witches Ghost, Alien Invation, and Cyber Chase are apart of a WHOLE NEW team then the movies that came after: Pirate Ahoy, Hula watever??, ect, ect...BECAUSE of the new "Whats New Scooby Doo" series. If u notice, when the series came out, the animation, design, voices, AND da characters attitude ALL changed....
I personally like the more scary, more teenage, older version of the movies...(the 1st four)
