First of all, I know this is a movie, and we're supposed to suspend belief.

I'm only asking this question for the sake of curiosity.

In real life, if someone like Vincent Roth was involved in illegally purchasing land, wouldn't it be pretty easy for the NFL to find out? I know that they didn't kill all the landowners. Wouldn't one of those people eventually come forward?

All it takes is for one person to throw a wrench into the entire operations.

Plus, you guys noticed how Vincent Roth basically grabbed the leases and tried to leave on the helicopter?

Even if he would have gotten away, he wouldn't have been safe. People would have came after him eventually.
