looked and looked for a character named "uncle john" --- to no avail --- where was he in the movie?

I want to see another movie with Uncle John and Stacey - obviously set before this one. They were hilarious.

Absolutely! They were the best part of this movie and rescued it from being a total bore. They reminded me of the colorful crooks out of a Damon Runyon novel.

Also, Nicky Katt really deserves a better career.
