Star Wars reference

Ghost Dog introduces himself as Bob Solo when he pulls up to the mansion where the mob is congregated in. The way he and the Haitian ice cream stand owner were able to establish a sort of communication with one another even though they both spoke two different languages is similar to the relationship the characters Han Solo and Chewbacca had in the Star Wars films.

"When Ghost Dog introduces himself to the gangsters at the secluded hideaway, he says his name is Bob Solo, a combination of two Harrison Ford characters, Bob Falfa (from American Graffiti) and Han Solo (from Star Wars)." That's what the trivia section says...

final flight, very very VERY interesting observation....

i thought the relationship b/w the haitian and ghost dog was one of the better, more understated parts of the film

They do understand each other though, despite the language barrier. This is depicted in the film several times when they both speak the same dialogue.

"Just forget you ever saw it. It's better that way."
