Region 2 DVD Aspect Ratio
Is it just me or does the Region 2 DVD switch from the film's 2:35:1 aspect ratio (i.e. Widescreen) to 1:33:1 (Fullscreen) as soon as the opening credits have finished rolling...if so WHY?????

The film is listed as 2.35, so that's the correct aspect ratio. For some reason, the Region 2 DVD is only available in 1.33. Often, though, for the opening credits, it's just easier for DVD producers to leave them as they are since often the credits will appear all over the screen (left, right, top, bottom, whatever). Hence, sometimes you'll see DVDs (or, indeed, VHS back in the day) where the credits are widescreen, then the movie switches to full-frame! (Of course, seems like it would've been easiest not to monkey with the ratio at all, but there are LOADS of people who STILL bitch about those 'little black bars.')
