Aspect ratio

I'm SO confused about this movie's ratio. Here on IMDb, it's listed as 2.35, and I'm willing to accept that. The DVD in Region 2 is listed as 1.33, which is obviously full-frame, so I get that. There's a 'Special Edition' listed here that shows the 2.35 ratio, but my DVD apparently comes from Canada (Alliance Atlantis), contains the same special features as that 'Special Edition,' but has a different cover and its ratio's listed as 1.78! I have yet to watch it, and don't know that I'd notice the difference between 1.78 and 2.35 when I do, but can anyone clear this up? What's the ACTUAL ratio, and is it just listed incorrectly on this DVD?
