Really enjoyable nostalgia!
I love the R&B of the 50's and 60's and even into the 70's. This film really took me back. I did not know about their trials and tribulations. That was sad.
I guess I was oblivious to their personality clashes and personal problems at the time. Although I do remember when Eddie Kendricks went solo during disco. They all had great voices, but I like the songs best that were sung by either Eddie or David.
I really dislike all the criticism of disco. Disco was about DANCING AND MUSIC YOU COULD DANCE TO and dancing as a representation of sexuality. I got sick of Bob Dylan and John Lennon quite quickly and anyone else that used music as an arena for their politics.
"Boogie down, boogie down, baby!"
