Who's that guy at Melvin's funeral?

Near the end of the movie, at Melvin's funeral, the camera pans from Smokey Robinson, then quickly past Otis and Mama Rose, until pausing on the guy on the far left, before the camera works its way back to Smokey.

The camera lingered on the guy at the end of the row long enough to make me think there was some significance to that. Was that the "real" Otis Williams (much like the real Jim Lovell makes a cameo appearance at the end of Apollo 13)?

Why else would that guy be "featured" in the front row with Berry, Smokey, Otis, and Mama Rose? (I don't think it was Edgar.)

no, that wasn't the real Otis Williams.

I was wondering that myself. He actually looks familiar so now I'm racking my brain trying to figure it out. Then again I thought I recognized a few people in that crowd but I think that was mostly because I'd seen him.
