Not a big deal, but there was like at least three other pages here of old posts and discussions, what happened to them all? I know they don't "expire", cause I've seen conversations from as far back as '03 popping up in other IMDb sections. And there's not nearly enough activity in here for them to have all been bumped off. I hate when that happens.
The so-called "administrators" on this site seem to delete things at will, at random, and inconsistently. They've deleted entire threads I was involved in, and they deleted trivia that I posted about certain persons and that trivia was absolutely true. Someone wrote me a nasty message stating that older posts are deleted. That is total BS. There are some very old posts still retained on the site.
Supposedly, this site is for exchanging/expressing opinions, however if other participants are going to name-call if they don't agree with you and the administrators can delete whatever they feel like, it lowers the quality of the site. Not to mention all of the IMDb disclaimers and refusal to respond to queries. The concept of the site was great, but its administration is POOR.
Check your posts for errors in grammar, spelling, and syntax. They reveal your ignorance.
I think IMBD allows a certain amount of memory to each subject thus allowing some unpopular topics to possibly have years' worth of postings still around while popular topics may have only a few months of postings left after deletions are completed.
For example, go to the Dancing with the Stars board. It seems some posters live there and are constantly posting, though some entries sometimes appear to have nothing to do with the subject. Be there on Tuesday nights and the postings will go on constantly for hours after the show is gone for the week.
At one time this board was very popular, but lately few new entries are seen. So the next time they decide to free up some memory, this board should lose very few postings. Part of the reason popularity has wained is that the movie is not being played like it was a couple of years ago. At one time it could be found playing on some channel every week or so. At least in my location it's unavailable unless you find it on the Net somewhere. When it is being broadcast again postings will probably increase.
typical IMDb censorship. It's happened to me 3 times.
I think that the drones who monitor the boards have no real sense of discretion. Something seems "off" to them and they destroy it...AND OF COURSE THEY WEREN'T EVEN BORN WHEN THE EVENTS BEING DISCUSSED OCCURRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, there hasn't been a GOOD year since 1989. _______________________________________ "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED??!!"
