Elbridge Bryant

In the first part of the movie, we see Elbridge ("Al" or "Bones") Bryant included as a member of both Otis Williams & The Distants & the first lineup of The Temptations. It's kind of funny that Otis & Al are best friends in the movie, yet Melvin & Otis became best friends as the story continued. After all, Bones did go through all that trouble of getting that Tony Curtis-styled haircut, which was the reason why he wanted to become a singer in the first place! In the second place, he blew his opportunity of making the big time, when he quit both The Distants & The Tempts! It was also funny to see Bones sitting in a neighborhood bar watching his old group sing "My Girl" on "The Ed Sullivan Show", pounding his fist in frustration! With all of the complaining Bones did while he was a member, you'd think he was TRYING to get himself fired! If that was the case, he had it coming!
