He has an uncanny resemblance to the actual music producer.

I dont see it other than they're both light skinned. All the pics I've seen of Norman Whitfield are with him with a really big afro or pics of him later on his life. He seemed a little heavier than Mel Jackson as well.

Norman Whitfield's production dominated The Temptations' records, causing some critics to derisively refer to them as "The Norman Whitfield Singers". I am surprised that wasn't mentioned.
