Otis + Paul

Otis Williams is so hard-headed for not letting Paul Williams back into The Temptations even after Paul showed marked signs of improvement due to alcoholism. It's too bad Paul killed himself due to Otis's pride. It was also due to Paul being depressed which also contributed to his drinking problem prior to his death. Was Otis jealous of Paul for some strange reason? Anyway, Paul Williams was one major reason The Tempts were successful. Without him, they wouldn't had achieved the level of success they attained.

R.I.P., Paul Williams...1943 - 1973.

Perhaps so. You make a great point.

This is virtually the same post as the other one I answered, but as pointed out there, Paul never recovered from either his unhealthful condition or his drinking to rejoin the Tempts.

I wouldn't say he was hotheaded. I would say he was cautious. He didn't want a repeat of what happened when they were performing Pyscadelic Shak and Paul was drunk. Granted, he was sober for 3 months, I wouldn't say he was ready to go back. I do think Otis should have at least let him tour with them(but not sing with them). Paul wasn't used to sitting around doing anything and that probably worsened the depression.
