I just got so confused after the man confessed to the crime which he didn't do.
They both were, though Henry was lying mostly about certain things. It was only after the truth of those certain things came up did he tell the truth after (like what Henry really did after he left his sister-in-law's house).
However, there was one scene that they both were telling the truth on: the scene with Camille. They were both telling the truth about what was going on, but from different points of view. From her point of view, he was "talking to her the way you would a woman". But from his point of view, he was just sitting there having a little fun while Camille was on a sugar high and just showing her how to work the camera her parents bought her.
