Daffy and Bugs
Is there a reason why these characters have the names of Looney Tunes?
shareApparently Sal is short for Sylvester and I think given that these three were the lead members of the community, they needed to have these kinds of names to distinguish themselves. I think however Daffy was the only lead who led himself astray when he believed that the community should leave the island
shareWhat are you talking about? I don't recall hearing Daffy saying anything about how the community should leave the island.
shareThank you for that. What I meant to say was Daffy could not adjust so he left the island
shareYes, he did. He said, “ It was the beach. You understand? The beach? It was too... beautiful, too much input, too much... sensation. I tried to keep it under control. But it just keeps spilling out and spilling out and spilling out. Right. You see, um... She’s on an island. And that island is perfect. I mean real perfection, you know?” He goes on to describe it, and how it was forbidden but a few travelers, people with ideals, got there. “ Ideals, eh? We were just fucking parasites. The big chunky Charlie. See, I was the one who was trying to find the cure. The procurer of the cure. And I said to them, ‘You’ve got to leave. You’ve got to leave this place.’ but they wouldn’t listen.”
shareLol, you would have to ask the movie, or story producer that one. Call up Alex Garland, I think that's the original author's name.
