Far better than Jurassic Worst.

Watched Jurassic Worst at the cinema on Monday and what a stinker. Absolutely terrible film. No thrills, no excitement, no suspense, no scares, terrible 'humour', didn't care what happened to any of the characters, and as for that silly cartoonish dino fight at the end? Blech! JW is easily the worst film in the JP series.

Soooooooo, I had to dig out JP 3 on DVD last night to get rid of the awful stench of Jurassic World. It worked. Better suspense, better thrills and I actually cared at least what happened to Grant, Billy and Paul.

Now I feel a lot better. Seriously I couldn't wait for JW to end. JW was childish silliness of the highest order.

reply

JW wasn't the best but it was way better than JP3. That's just my opinion.

reply

Nah it was pretty crap. For 9 years olds. Jurassic 'Worst' really is the worst in the series. It doesn't even have a single character to give a damn about.

Yes, and still better than JP3.

So someone states and even says it's their opinion and your counter is to tell them they are wrong about their opinion and then restate your opinion again? What a dick. Your preference is not fact.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

reply

Completely agree. Jurassic World felt incredibly juvenile and artificial and the effects were far worse than JP3. I actually love the third film, it's a lot more close to the original's feel than World.

reply

Yes. At least JP III has some sense of danger. Jurassic Worst doesn't in the slightest, and no characters to care about. It's almost one long (feels very long) cartoon caper.

reply

Hahaha. Listen to this guy. "Ooh, I'm gonna be hipster and hate Jurassic World because everyone loves it."

Jurassic "Worst", so clever! I guess it was easier to care about the annoying parents, the annoying kid, no development student guy and mercenaries who get eaten within a few minutes in JP III, right? I LIKE Jurassic Park III, but to say that JP III had better CHARACTERS? Alan Grant and brief appearances by Ellie Sadler are the ONLY good characters in JP III.

You sound completely unhinged. Jurassic World is the best film since the original. The only one to truly capture the feel of the 1993 film.

Aren't you relieved to know you're not a golem?

reply

I too found Jurassic World to be inferior to Jurassic Park III.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing .

"Everyone loves it" my ass. It has an average IMDB rating of 7,3 and a metascore of 59/100. Not everyone loves it. It was a mediocre film. I tell you one thing that is wrong with it: Being very similar to JP I (dinosaur park in the making/already opened, everything goes to chaos), it has one key difference. In part 1, everthing went out of control because one employee was corrupt and deliberately sabotaged the security systems, but in Jurassic "Worst" everything goes out of control because all the responsible employees are *beep* dumb morons. That's one thing that's wrong with it.

reply

Jurassic World wasn't amazing by any means, but it was a quality, solid movie that was far better that 2 and 3

reply

Sorry, but I cannot fathom how or why you would choose Jurassic Park 3 to erase your memories of Jurassic World, over the original film. Jurassic Park 3, I will echo others, is still easily the worst in the franchise. I found Jurassic World quite disappointing, but was at least able to enjoy it after going back and looking at the directors intentions, and I still find it vastly better than Jurassic Park 3. It at LEAST attempted to use some science, rather than throwing a few feathers on raptors and horribly overestimating their intelligence. I found no real suspense at all, it was pretty clear who would die and who wouldn't, and no real thrills.

reply

Indeed.
