Not as good as the first film, much better the the second.

I found this film to be way better than the second one.

The Lost World looked like it was almost entirely shot in a studio for the jungle parts plus the CGI looked worse than the first film.

The third film didn't do much new but what it did do it did very well and was much better paced plus the fact that this film had Alan Grant back. Grant is a much better leading character than Ian Malcolm who was only ever designed to be a secondary character and failed to really carry the second film on his own.

I'm quite sad that Dr Grant and Ellie Sattler didn't last as a couple as I thought they made a great team. I don't think it would have changed the story much if they had still been together and he went back to the island so it was just a bit of a sour and sad point for me.

It did miss a few of those trademark Spielberg moments and to be fair a combination of the second and third films would have been ideal as it did miss some of the more tension filled moments and could have done with some Ian Malcolm.

Aside form that it was great fun!
