Remarkable movie, one of the most underrated of the 90s

Expertly acted and directed with a fine script and terrific cinematography. I suspect that most of the film's detractors are mind-bogglingly lame.

That's very possible. Probable even.

I've said this a bunch of times. When Spike genuinely makes a good, if not, GREAT film, it still gets overlooked because of who he is. He has a unique vision and style, when it works, IT WORKS

Spike Lees best. GO john Dewey HS!

This is one of my favorite Brody performances. I see it as the death of disco and the brief time that punk was hot. The scene where Vinny and Richie cannot get a cheeseburger in the restaurant? The guys opposed to Richie were looking very preppy. And John Turturro as the voice of the dog? Clever.

Yup fantastic. Chronicle of a historic year, with memorable representiive charachters behind it. The 90s were a golden age for movies.

It's fantastic. My favorite Spike Lee movie by a long shot.

if only the script were tighter and less crass regarding the relationship stuff...

It's one of the few Spike Lee joints after Do the Right Thing that's worth watching.
