Yes, exactly. That's why they just didn't spell it "Castaway". You don't realize that meaning until the end.

People who move on when their loved ones are missing and presumed dead should not be shamed.

Yes, its awkward when person suddenly shows up. Its even move awkward like its here when she moved on, marries and has a child. But person should not stay and mourn for the rest of their life. Specially when they are young.

He did understand it and let her go and didnt try to ruin her marriage by chasing her and forcing to leave her family.

It was time for him to move on too and he did.
