Yeah im pretty sure it takes place in Califorina also.
shareIt takes place in Santa Monica, CA which is in LA county. They mention that Brink is going to Venice Beach which is Santa Monica and the scene where he throws the chocolate shake in that guy's face takes place on the Santa Monica pier.

Of course Brinks first pair of skates in 1985 were Rollerblades. Everybody had rollerblades and everyone bought their little children in-lines at age 4 in 1985. I never understood this. In-lines never really started being popular until the turn of the decade. And in 1985, everyone who skated skated with the faggy rollerskates. I doubt Mr. Brinker foresaw the future popularity in in-lines in 1985 while purchasing them, even though he doesnt even understand in-lines well in 1998.
I remember being able to pick up in-lnes at any K-Mart in 1985. Please.
it takes place right on venice beach, wich is in california. it says so at the end credits. but i can remember them filming this when i went to the beach.
