Angel meeting people during the day???

I've seen half of Season 4 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and just started Angel, so please no spoilers.

In S1E3, Angel and Spike clearly walk around during the daylight. They don't walk directly in the sunlight, but they walk around rooms that have sunlight shining through. I especially noticed this when Angel, Spike, and the vampire torturer are in the abandoned warehouse. The sunlight is obviously reflecting off the vampires' faces and through the entire place, yet they aren't bothered by it. Angel also spends time in apartments and rooms where the blinds aren't completely closed. I thought vampires couldn't be in sunlight at all. Or is it just direct sunlight?

Direct sunlight kills them.
A little bit of sunlight burns them

Exactly, so they shouldn't be able to walk through rooms with the blinds not fully closed, right?

I'm guessing it's just a major flaw in the show so Angel isn't stuck in the dark all the time?

Relected sunlight is harmless to them. If any sunlight hurt them, moonlight would be harmful too since it's just reflected sunlight. It needs to be direct to hurt them, hell even a snowy day saved Angel in Bufffy. If you can't get a tan from it, it probably won't hurt them too much.

That makes a lot of sense. For some reason, I just couldn't wrap my head about it lol.
