G-virus mutation

For those of you who played the 2nd game, I have a few questions:

- How was the G-virus made?
- How does it infect people?
- Is it a direct mutation or can the host wander around for hours/days\weeks without mutations?

I'm asking this, because I'm writing my own fan-fiction for RE 4 (movie), which involves the G-virus. And since I never played the 2nd game, I'm asking you guys about this.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the answers.

I only asked these questions to continue my fan-fiction.

Because, in my fan-fiction, Birkin uses Jill Valentine to experiment with the G-virus. First, after some experiments, he puts Jill in a room. After some days, there are no results. So he comes up with a way to turn Jill into a G-mutant (despite the fact that he only wanted to cure the T-virus). I have to understand the G-virus first, before I can write that story. So what can I do to write it believably?

Thanks in advance.

I have another couple of questions:

- Can the G-virus be implanted in a living host's body so that it can mutate from there on and turn the host into a G-Mutant? Or can it only infect it's host by ingestion or implanting into the palm of the host's hand?

- Once the host have been mutated into a G-virus, can one still use DEVIL to turn the G-Mutant into a human again?

I haven't played any of the games, so I don't completely understand the G-Virus. So any help is granted. Thanks in advance.

i dont know how its made its not explained much like the t virus

you have to inject yourself to be infected (or someone infected can implant an embryo into you. however this embryo wont be a perfect bow like the initial mutant unless the embryo is placed in too someone of similar dna(blood relation)

if you inject yourself and you die its direct

if your alive it takes sometime (a couple hours) in these hours u have to inject yourself with devil to reverse the effects if you dont devil wont stop the g virus

Thanks cypriot boy 10, here's the link to the summary of my fan-fiction. It's not completed yet, so you have to be patient till' I post it on IMDb.

My ideas for the G-virus:

- Umbrella scientists first injected Jill with the G-virus with a needle. But Barry wanted to destroy Umbrella once and for all and injected some sort of anti-virus into Jill, that can slow down the spread of the G-virus through Jill's body by a couple of weeks. Maybe he wanted to experiment on Jill on his own, maybe he had a plan to bring down Umbrella. I'll leave that up to you to decide.
- When William Birkin sees no effects of the G-virus on Jill's body, he decides it's time for the second protocol, which means he's going to let a few G-virus-infected cells grow, and implant it into Jill's body.
- By the time Birkin is getting Jill out of her observation room, the G-virus has already spread all throughout Jill's body and she quickly begins to mutate.

- After a few fights, Chris injects Jill, who's been mutated into a G-mutant, with some sort of anti-virus, which makes Jill to 'unmutate' and shrink back to her original form.
- However, it doesn't mean the G-virus is out of Jill's body, it only cannot mutate for a while. So Chris escapes the Umbrella-facility with Jill, not knowing Jill can still mutate into a G-mutant again in a few days/weeks\months time.

Are my plans for the G-virus anything like the game, or am I just making things up that aren't anywhere possible or aren't in the game?

My advice, as a true Resident Evil fan, is to play the games before you write about them. If you want your writing to work well then you must understand the source material, as just asking people isnt half as good as finding the information out for yourself.

Have a look on ebay for the games. You really should try and find the original games as the newer ones are much less infomative or intense. Dont do what a lot of people do which is to play Resident Evil 4 and think the know the series. lol.

Best of luck with the writing and feel free to message me.
