help me goddammmit! and perhaps anyone else who knows of this!!

just before resi 2 came out, i bought this magazine called gamesmaster, in 1997- and its xmas issue was bundled with a VHS (god remember them? lol) on which there were various promos, but this sony playstation one has always niggled me-
because of the song!!!

it bookends the video, and im not sure if this sony promo was localised or worldwide or indeed the popularity of the song- but does ANYONE on this earth know who or what is singing? cos i NEED TO KNOWW!! its been 11 YEARS!!!!

I've seen this post before =) Good taste in games.

I'll tell you what i did for a try, not that its good news i'm afraid =( If i'm looking for a song i type in the lyrics in a search engine, normally you'd find it if you're sure you got the words right, or if the words aren't very special then you may have to search through a few songs to find the one you want, but often you'd get it eventually. However i did try a line from your song and nothing. Maybe its a remix? Or a mix of two songs? I'd expect it to be one or the other 9 minutes for a song would suggest so.

Also, not much chance for this but maybe there's a page on the video in the magazine it came with, might describe the content and possibly music used in it. Other than that, not much hope. Maybe you could use one of those mobile phone services, What's that song? sort of thing, the one you can hold your phone upto, tho given that its something new i don't know how these things work again might not work.

hey!yeh i did try the old google search but alas, no luck- and unfortunately i was 13 at the time i bought the magazine so i lost that lol

but there was a ray of hope once when i did hear it randomly a couple of years back playing in a BBC documentary on tv about antisocial /crime riddien areas in the country lol but thanks for the help, i will try and succeed i know it!

This thread is long dead but anyway, I remembered the video and somebody on youtube has put up the information for the song now. If anyone else was curious it says:
"The music track was written for the video by Michael Conn and Nick Franglen. Vocals by Cathi, rap by Adrian 'EQ'."
