I really appreciate this movie
It is such an underrated film. Its not even a war movie, yet it shows best what it truly means to be a soldier and the kinds of dilemmas such a person must go through. It truly makes a person feel honestly patriotic and appreciative of what our soldiers go through, no matter the mission.
As Hayes Hodges states in his opening argument, Childers didn't go because he wanted to, he was ordered there. Soldiers follow orders, so even if Childers was guilty, then so is everyone above him.
