Movie was fairly standard for it's time, but decent enough

Decent movie. Marines blah blah, arabs shooting folks blah blah, politicians being slimeballs blahblah. Pretty standard.

I'm surprised by the posts on this board. If you think this movie was "racist" or that SLJ's character was in the wrong then you've never been in a combat situation. In that case, you have no rights or opinions on the matter. You're just a random person on this planet whom is kept safe by more manly folks with guns.

Love how people seem to think that the world is full of humanitarians who will totally not beat them to death with rocks simply for believing in a different god. Delusional fairies.

Anyway. Decent enough movie to kill a little time. I didn't QUITE appreciate the Vietnamese colonel saluting at the end outside of the traditional "Yeah, we're both military officers and *beep* got heavy in the Nam. No hard feelings, good luck to you".

The cheesy bowing scene at the end of Best of the Best was more credible, IMO.
