Different Cuts

Can anyone tell me differences in the various cuts of the film? I know that the theatrical release was presumeably PG-13, but it looks like all the Video/DVD releases are R. Also IMDB makes this confusing as well as it says that R was the original rating. How many cuts of the film are there and what are the differences?

I have seen the directors cut advertised, and the ordinary cut I own. I should like to know what (if any) are the differences. You could always send a Private Message to AussieCIFan... she may know....
