Needed an action hero not Lieutenant Dan!

Gary did get ripped for this part, but he just wasn't the right person cast. Tom Cruise would have been perfect. Maybe even Colin Farrell. This type of movie warrants that sort of actor. Gary could have played the agent after him. He isn't exactly your typical 'leading man' material.

And that's precisely why he absolutely owns this role. Completely in-character, Cruise doesn't stand CLOSE to Sinise' acting skills. Let alone Farrell, lmao.
