I think he unintentionally revealed that he had enough. Probably wanted to get back to a normal life. With a ton of money.
I didn't see it, but my wife said that very thought passed through her head. Maybe he just got tired of it. Her certainly made enough to pay for his education and then some.
I commented several weeks ago on MC that he would seem go through a minute or so where he zoned out almost every game. Pure speculation, but we may find out in years hence that maybe he takes medication for something like seizures, and loses focus on occasion. Maybe he felt one coming on and medicated himself. Again, pure speculation.
We all thought he'd lose, but for both the other contestants to be well ahead of him at the end of the game doesn't seem right. I would believe the producers bought him off but I think that would fly against the Communications Act.
For once I didn't have it spoiled for me by the internet. I didn't see any story about it.You know those pages that show up with dozens of stories. They always spoil things.
I was very surprised. Neither of the two opponents looked like serious contenders to me.

How could that guy possibly think Poland was split into five areas? That guy knows the serial number on a 1953 GE dish washer, but he doesn't know basic World War II history? I don't believe it for one second.

Amodio always seemed to zone out most shows, I wonder if it isn't a medical condition, like an effect of an anti-seizure med for instance.
Still, I caught last night's show, and the guy who beat him is clearly no slouch. I'll have to watch a few more shows to see if he's legitimately more knowledgeable than Amodio.
