I've never been shot, so I have a question. It seemed it happen to Jude Law a few times and Renee's father,also. They get shot, lose consciousness, then later wake up and in Jude's case, carry on.
How would this even happen? I would think losing consciousness is the last stage before you die. (The time it hit me the most was when he was chained up to everybody else, who also seemed to get shot, but then somehow he woke up, again)
Not all bullet wounds are fatal. They have to hit a major artery or render a vital organ useless. But you're right, there isn't need to pass out from a non-lethal bullet wound, especially pass out immediately, unless it's from pain, or maybe they just fell over from the force of being shot. The falling down or passing out is likely for dramatic effect and not much else?
shareOnce your body reaches it's threshold for pain, it kind of shuts itself down, passes out. It's like a defense mechanism. And everything the previous reply said about major arteries and/or vital organs. And huge threat back then is of course infection. If an infection takes hold and gets in the blood stream; septic shock and death.
