After watching this, I had a question. The man who plays the fiddle in the beginning, for Inman's dying soldier friend, is that Ruby's father? Looks the same but I thought that would a HUGE coincidence that her father & Inman were fighting in the same place. But I could be wrong.

Yeah, same bloke. It is a bit of a bs coincidence, although most of the regiment would be from a certain area. People mostly fought with other locals.
