Could this be enjoyed by someone who has never ever watched even a single episode of the TV show? It seems entertaining to me but I don't know the setting, characters and stuff and I don't know if I'd enjoy it as much as someone who is familiar with the show.

Yes you can definitely watch it without seeing the TV show. It stands on it's own.
