Not as impacting for newcomers?
I'm somebody who wanted to watch South Park and its movie since I was 11. (Though I was a bit interested in it when there was a homage to it on Arthur when I was even younger. Haha.) But as someone who had to deal with parental blocks until I was 16, I ended up becoming a fan after penises were attached to mice, Mrs. Garrison showed her breasts, and little kids were maimed in hockey tournaments. Not to meantion Adult Swim shows that were able to show off concepts just as crude in that time. (Though rarely just as smart as South Park.) I saw that the movie was on Comedy Central around Saturday I think (I almost forgot there was a movie.) and watched it. I loved it! What an amazing film! :) But I couldn't help but feel unphased by some things I felt like I should have.
Does anyone else think it might be less "revolutionary" now than watching it in theaters, or do you think it still stands?
