It's a real shame this film was made in 1999, two years before Matt and Trey decided to develop one of the background characters into the greatest character in all of South Park. Everyone knows it's Butters!

Can't say I agree.
While I love(d) Butters, the film was about the main 4 boys. Shoehorning in Butters would have been inane even if he was being used more at the time.
One thing I love about this film is that it's a very concerntaited story around the main 4 characters. Even a popular character at the time like Chef is hardly in it.
With the exception of Cartoon Wars, this is the last great thing connected to SP.
Jesus died for our sins. As he's already dead...sin away.
I'm sure if they make another move (let's hope they will) not only Butters, but also Randy will be main characters alongside Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny.
