Why no themesong ?
Why is the iconic Southpark themesong not in this movie, I demand to know !

shareProbably to make it clear that while it is South Park, this is a separate feature film and not just a couple episodes of the TV show strung together. The movie is rightfully cinematic and a musical in its own right; the movie has its own new, original songs that relate directly to the plot so there was really no need to use the South Park theme song.
The password is Fidelio.
maybe, but tell that to the makers of the simpsons movie, the Doctor Who movie (the real one, not the Peter Cushing garbage) and the makers of the scooby doo movie, and the A-team movie, and the transformers movie (the 1986 one which is in the same continuity as the series).
Then again, southpark is such a unique beast.
Not all TV show movies have to be alike, you know. I'm glad they went a different route. Besides, for what it's worth, most of those movies you mentioned are pretty bad (like the last three).

Well yeah, they were bad.
But come to your senses: the Southpark themetune is funny.
However, now that we think about it, I guess the movie would not have worked if it had the themetune, I can't really explain it, but the pacing and the whole "movie" feel would not be the same, if that makes sense ? Now I feel kinda stupid for having asked this question !
Personally, I don't think it would have worked for the opening.
It would have been too jarring to have 2 opening musical numbers, and I personally feel that the opening they went with was FAR better then just re-doing the TV show opening again.
But I suppose they could have thrown it in at the end credits.
And so, God came forth and proclaimed widescreen is the best.
Sony 16:9
yeah now that I think about it.
