Why did they take Billie back?

Billie was so desperate to find her sister that once she did she was willing to do anything to keep her with her. Most people would. But once she figured out the truth, she helped the sisters stop her while trying to save both sides. Which is why they took her back.

Billie went back to the Charmed Ones when she realized Christy was too far gone. And then she accidentally ended up killing her sister. While Phoebe and Paige maybe quick to accept her back, I definitely see Piper having trouble forgiving Billie seeing she not only put Wyatt's life in danger with the Hollow, but her actions ended up killing Phoebe and Paige too. And unlike her sisters, Piper remembers the explosion and its aftermath.

Not all of Season 8 was bad. It was ok at the beginning and started getting better but then just got worse mid season once Billy found her sister. More because all the hype for what the big battle was seemed to be disappointing once it was clear it was Billy and christy. I thought it was going to be the return of the Source or the Triad from season 3 or even Cole or some demonic group like the brotherhood, since billy may have ended up pissing a group like them off during her search for christy. Especially after that whole stunt she and the sisters pulled over them in Mr and Mrs Witch. Years of their work ruined to get someone in power to give them the demonic foothold they worked for over a generation

Piper: Something's not right. Why would they want to shoot him?
nanny demon: Because I wanted them to. Just so you know, whether or not you vanquish me, it won't save mommy and daddy.
Piper: How do you figure?
nanny demon: Because the chairman is still going to die. And they will still be blamed for his murder. And afterwards, our greatest creation-- for all intents and purposes, a human Rod Dalvos will take over, and with it give us the demonic foothold we've worked a generation to achieve.
Piper: And how do you plan to accomplish all that?.


There were still some very intense episodes in season 8 like Vaya Con Leos. I remember being on edge that whole episode the first time I watched it. Pipers intense confrontation with the Angel of Death then the Avatar and Elder. And the Elder warned piper that she doesn't want to go there when she demanded who they were being loyal to. And then she was still wanting to go up the chain as far as she could go till she got an answer. When phoebe was freaking out as they attempted to summon the angel of destiny I was convinced she sensed something wrong with pipers approach. When that Angel of Destiny appeared and wasn't the same one from season 4 I was so certain she was going to threaten to erase their destiny or even erase them for trying such a stunt, when she appeared to them all pissed.

It would have taken me quite awhile to forgive Billie for turning on me like that.
