Something you don't like from your fave season

Saw this at another site and found it interesting.

I'd have to say S3, and Prue's odd OOC moments. For example her treatment of the Whitelighter in Blinded By The Whitelighter. There is a couple more instances of some random things Prue would do that seemed totally out of her established personality in this season (just little comments, not storylines).

It's season 3 for me too. I didn't like how rushed the season was. I think there was enough material within it to spread it out over two seasons. I mean, we learned about Cole being a demon in his very first episode. That could have been delayed by four or five episodes. Then we could have had a few more episodes than we did where we know he's evil, but Phoebe doesn't, and Prue is getting more and more suspicious. Throughout this time, Leo and Piper could be deciding to get married and working around all the obstacles that are brought up because of it. The season could end with the two of them finally able to be married and Phoebe finding out the truth about Cole, pretending to vanquish him.

Season 4 could start off with Phoebe lying to her sisters, and the whole season could contain the events of the truth coming out about Cole, the sisters building up their trust again, Cole coming back, the whole thing with the Brotherhood. So I wish they had just taken their time with all the material they had, rather than stuffing it into one season.

Season Four is my favorite. But the whole Cole becoming The Source was sooooo rushed. They could have easily made that the story for Season Five and kept the original Source for season four and saved the evil queen story for season five.

Season Two is my favorite since some of my favorite innocents and favorite villains are part of it.

The funny thing what I don't like - no, I hate - is the main storyline - the infamous triangle. I hate how Piper treats Dan by lying to him when she says she can tell him anything, especially explaining who and what Leo is so he'd appreciate Leo healing Dan's love when Piper dies, and I hate Leo stopping being the Charmed Ones' guide and just wanting to get into Piper's pants. Most of all, I hate how Piper treats Leo after she realizes he's the one, For me, that ruins their love even more than S5 ruins Phoebe and Cole's.

My favorite season is 2. And I didn't like how 'Morality Bites ' and ' A Painted World' seems to air out of order. I mean in the former Piper was still dating Leo. Yet in the latter Piper was all into Dan.

Even though I loved Charmed season 6 (you know, with Chris and all), I didn't really like how Phoebe and her love life was shoehorned in it. Same goes with season 5, and the whole Cole-can't-decide-on-whether-or-not-he's-evil-and-then-eventually-dies arc.

What about you?

Season 1 I would make Prue a photographer so it doesn't feel rushed. Rex and Hannah would be the big bad.

Season 3 I would make Cole into a warlock since demons can't love.

Season four would be the source all the way through with Cole being the source saved for season five.

reply

So those three are tied for your favorite?

I love all of your ideas! Had they done those, it would've been a much better series - especially if it ended after Season Five.

reply

Agreed there. For me the mess during the later seasons makes it unwatchable and doesn't have energy.

Season 4: The thing I didn't like about it was the finale. I was kinda bored by it and I really think the episoade before would have made a much more excellent finale because of it being a close to a clear era in the show's history. The huge cliffhanger of finding out about Piper's pregnancy could have happened at the end Womb Raider. I could really care less about the Cole story arc the episode "Witch Way Now" set up for the next season. I would have rathered he stay dead. Not because I hate the character, but because they really didn't do anything new with him. If they would have set up a completely new and ultra-powerful threat I might have been ok with the original s4 finale.

Season 4 isn't a favorite, but if it had been something like this, it might have been, since we wouldn't have had S5 ruining Phoebe and Cole's love story.

I wish Cole had never left the wastelands if long live the queen had been it id be happy

reply

*nods* You and me both.

I hate the idea of the wasteland - it means being vanquished does *not* meant being vanquished - it means being vanished - the one vanished can always come back.

reply

Not really. That's like saying having "up there" for Grams, Patty, Prue etc meant they weren't dead.

There was always an afterlife with Charmed. Heck, even Leo's technically dead.
