His dead body did not return to any place, it got erased from history.
Adult Chris came from a dystopian future that now would not happen, causing him never deciding to travel back in time to save Wyatt.
He would also had been erased from history if he had been alive.
It actually happened to Piper when she found that time portal, which she used to travel back in time to set things right and save Phoebe from the years of agony, constantly saving the life of that boyfriend of hers, who was destined to die anyway.
After the future Piper had set things right, she was erased from history.

shareI don't think he did because Chris in 'Forever Charmed' remembered so much stuff from when S6 Chris was around.
In my 'Forever Charmed' rewrite, "Charmed Forever", I use this as an explanation:
Shushing the others, she asked Wyatt to continue.
He nodded. “So when Patty--”
“Patty?” Phoebe interrupted, while Patty smiled. “Who’s Patty? Is she a cousin? Who’s her mom?”
“Yeah, she’s our cousin," Chris told her, figuring his mom was right and he might as well tell them everything. "Your oldest daughter."
"Oldest?!" cried Phoebe. "I have more than one? More than two?"
Piper rolled her eyes. “Phoebe! Please! Time enough for that later. What did Patty do?” she asked.
"She’s the one who found the entry since she and her sisters live at the manor,” Chris told them.
Phoebe almost interrupted when she heard that piece of news, wondering why she was the one living at the manor and not Piper and Leo, but Piper waved her finger at her and she stayed quiet.
“And I remembered the time-travel spell from the other time,” Chris concluded.
“Other time!” This time it was Piper who interrupted. “You still remember the last time you were here? With the Titans and the Valkyries and Gideon?” and Chris nodded.
“But how?” cried Paige. “Leo and I watched you die!”
“I remember that,” Chris admitted. “But that’s the last double memory I have.”
“We both have double memories,” Wyatt put in.
Chris rolled his eyes at his brother then continued. “I’ve always remembered another life, one where both Wyatt and I have powers, but he’s evil, and I went back in time to before I was even conceived in order to save him. It’s strange, but I’ve gotten used to it.”
Paige snapped her fingers. “That future version of you that we thought had died faded at the same time the present version of you was being born, so that future version must’ve caught up in time with you, the way I caught up with myself when we came back.“
