Phoebe, Paige, and Patty

It's been established that Phoebe was just a baby when they lost their mother. She also had Paige with her whitelighter Sam. How many years younger is Paige than Phoebe? If Phoebe was just a baby, or maybe up to 24 months old, how could Paige have been born? It seems like an error or plot hole of some sort when they were creating Paige to stand in the place of Prue after Shannen Doherty left.

Everyone is two years apart, exept Prue and Piper who are 3 years apart. May be a plothole, or may also be them stating that Pheobe was just "a baby" when Patty died, which makes sense as she would be around 2 (I would call that a baby too in that situation)

They usually say she was the baby because she has no memories of Patty. At age 2, she wouldn't.

I could be wrong, but I think Phoebe was born in November of 1975, and Paige was born in August of 1977. If Patty and Victor had issues before Phoebe was even born, as shown in That 70s Episode, then there's about a year and a half after Phoebe is born for Patty and Victor to break up, Patty and Sam to start their affair, and her go through another pregnancy and have Paige.

Everything all happens rather quickly, but I assume that Victor wasn't around much after Phoebe was born, and that Patty got pregnant with Paige rather quickly. It makes for an eventful year and a half, but everything does have time to happen.

I never understood how they could hide her pregnancy from the Elders considering how they made it seem so meddling in the series. You would think after 9 months they would have figured out about Paige or sensed a magical baby especially when Paige was able to panic orb when her adopted parents were in the car crash.

Maybe the Elders weren't quite as meddlesome during this time. I know Patty and Sam obviously feared for Paige if they found out about her, but perhaps they weren't so involved in their day-to-day lives as they were with Prue, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige as adults. Therefore, a pregnancy might have been overlooked because even though Paige was magical, the pregnancy was just a normal biological event, and perhaps didn't come up on their radar.

It could also be that the Elders didn't start to be able to sense orbing and other things until after everyone found out about Paige and she inherited her powers. Perhaps the Elders were just lazy about keeping track of those types of things back when Paige was a teenager.

It is shown with Piper losing Leo in S3 - yelling to the elders to send him back and the whole hiding of their wedding. Only way they found out was by Cole telling his side. The elders were not into checking em 24/7 and same could been with Patty and Sam.

Only time that I was concerned with people watching over em was when Leo was babysitting Paige during her 1st year and Piper made a comment about what he was viewing (i.e. Paige w/ her boytoy).

And the comment Leo made about watching over Piper as a child and calling her "adorable" in season 5 when she finds her baby pictures.

Creepy.

It's established in the season 2 episoade where they meet Sam for the first time that Pheobe was 3 when her mom died. Patty died in 1978, Paige was born in 1977, and Pheobe was born in 1975.
