How the Charmed reboot should be done...

I think it would be an interesting idea to have the reboot set in present day, and be about the Charmed Ones' children. However, only 3 of them remain alive due to some huge battle or event, which has left the world aware of magic, witches, and demons. It would be a throw back to episodes like "Morality Bites", "All Hell Breaks Loose", and, "Chris-Crossed" where magic is exposed. It would set up an interesting storyline with a dark/suspenseful atmosphere.

Having said that, it would leave the door open for special appearances of original cast members, and I feel like fans would be way more accepting of a reboot of this nature.

If the survivors didn't include Wyatt (too powerful) and if the three remaining were three cousins who couldn't become the Power of Three and if Piper was the only one of the Charmed Ones who survived and she had given up her own powers in order to have her normal life at the end of it, then I could get into that.

Personally, I wouldn't be interested in anything featuring the kids as the leads - never have been, either. I know the Wyatt and Chris spin-off has been a popular idea amongst the fans, but the whole concept of "Charmed: The Next Generation" doesn't do anything for me.

I would've been open to a reboot that took the base concept of the original show - three sisters who fulfill the Charmed Ones propechy and use their powers to battle evil - and spun it in a new way, but this current proposed CW one is just "Charmed In Name Only."

I would be interested in that! I do agree with Es that Wyatt may be too powerful. If that were to happen, its likely Piper's daughter would be the survivor from Piper's line since Chris Fuller and Wes Ramsey may not return (as they're the only Charmed children we saw grown up). It would also give the Charmed offspring diversity as her daughter wouldn't be half whitelighter (Leo was de-powered after Chris). Paige's kid would be half whitelighter and Phoebe's would be half Cupid.

Seeing how the reboot is set to take place in the past, it'd be good to see something centred on the Charmed Ones' ancestors and how they dealt with demonic threats.

I would much prefer that over having it be in the 70's when the Charmed Ones are still young kids with their powers bound. There's no connection between these new ones and the Charmed Ones, so how can the show be called Charmed?

I'd love to find out that at least one of them (Paige, perhaps) is related to the Charmed Ones - perhaps descended from P. Bowen, Grams' mother's cousin, since that could lead us to finding out more about the cousins.
