But that's not a sequel, none of the people involved here are involved with that and it was never intended as a sequel to Belly.

What happened was that the studio didn't know how to market it so they thought it's a movie starring a well known rapper trying to act about a guy who's a criminal and acts reckless from the hood... Hey that reminds me of that movie Belly, let's just call it Belly 2!
