i really miss when Brittany Murphy....
could act. when did she lose it?
shareProbably when she became a blonde. haha just jokes. idk.
shareI hope that Brittany Murphy is remembered more for her work as a funny, uninhibited character actress in movies like DDG and Clueless (not to mention her amazing, often grating but always hilarious vocal performance on King of the Hill). I think Brittany succumbed to the pressures to look like a typical Hollywood bombshell instead of staying her beautiful, naturally charming and funny self.
I find I gravitate more towards actors who aren't traditionally good-looking (i.e. 90's-Brittany, John C. Riley) who don't get the big lead parts but always have the most interesting characters.
Brittany was a unique talent, and it's a shame that her work in the 2000's never quite topped the performances she gave in the 90's.

Jan: I'm sorry all I heard was blah blah blah I'm a dirty tramp.
You should see Don't Say a Word, she was amazing in that
SMALLVILLE IS THE BEST SHOW ON EARTH, THERE IS 0 COMPETITION!
She also played a funny, oddball character in "Freeway."

Brittany was a very talented actress and it was really in the last few years of her life when her career took a nose dive. She was good in most of her movies, several of her movies were awful and I bet she probably regretted doing them but most actors are in bad movies here and there through their careers.

Agreed; she was very good in DSAW.

She was also in this movie called "The Dead Girl" (which is kind've an upsetting name when you think about it now). She's not in it very much (its like a series of vignettes that stat with the death of a woman and how people react to her death) but she's really really great in her sement.
shareShe was very talented.
Kramer: ...he was very impressed with what I do.
Elaine: What you do? You don't do anything!
