Bad Blood Episode

I'm probably going to get crucified for this one but I don't know any other way to approach. So I am apologizing in advance to anyone who might be offended. That was not my intent.

Blood screening tests while extremely high reliability are not 100%. Each of the risk factors are put there to minimize the chance of a bad collection. Does anyone else think Will's explanation throws out Statistical Analysis, Biology, and Blood Collection Safety Protocols to generate a politically correct explanation? If so, isn't that kind of dangerous in itself?

Ironically Will claimed the policy was based on fear and not science when in fact it's rather his side that is putting feelings above science.

In 2019 gay men are still a risk group for HIV and pretending we aren't isn't going to make it go away. There are other groups that also have no or more restricted access to giving blood for varying reasons.
