Debra Messing’s Voice

I’ve scoured the internet and chat boards for this but i found no mention of it -

Debra Messing’s voice has really changed in the revival. Did she ever have any surgery on her throat or something? I find it has really changed her character, I don’t see Grace anymore. And I feel they’ve made her a bit too ditsy, far more ditsy than she used to be.

For some reason, this show doesn’t have the same feel as it once had. It almost feels.....dare I say it - contrived, forced. I absolutely ADORE this show since it first aired in the late 90’s and was so excited when I heard it was coming back, but now I feel a bit disappointed.

Also, I wished they carried on from where it left off where Will & Grace’s kids got married etc.

Maybe it’s just me, but it feels it has definitely lost most of its magic.
