Yes, I liked their story and the actors did an excellent job. It was good that he was cleared of the murder charges. We can only hope that he came back safely from the war so that theycan have the happy ending that they deserve.

Wow, this mini came out over ten years ago and I'd never heard of it. I'm in the United States and I've always liked period pieces like this so I don't how I missed it. Anyway, I loved the Matty and Ned storyline! I first saw Jason O'Mara in the US remake of Life on Mars. He's a hottie in this too. *sigh* I had to rewind the rooftop scene because it was so sweet and romantic.
Not to sound like a perv but would it have been too much to ask to see just a little of their time together the night before Ned was shipped off to Africa with the British infantry?
