Eternity As Musical

Let's get this board rolling...

Angelopoulos has said in interview that some of the first films he saw were Hollywood ones - Angels With Dirty Faces - but also Vincente Minnelli's musicals - and one can see it in the crowd formations, the love of music, the dance sequences, the colours, in Angelopoulos' own films. I think Eternity is perhaps the closest to a Technicolor musical that A gets - it's even truly uplifting as the film musical must!

Well, it has some musical elements, I guess... It has a fantastic scene in the bus. But it's the worst movie Theo has made.

It's a great movie. The only one by Theo A. I've seen so far. If it's the worst, I wonder how the rest are.
