The dvd we rented from Blockbuster (in the USA) had english subtitles and also a feature with a professor from Oklahoma, who explained to the american audience why this movie is really great.
I was amused by this, but yeah, when people are used to Hollywood stuff, the standardized movie structures (intro, story, happy end), then they might have a serious problem with this movie. But my personal assumption is that those kind of people won't sit through that movie and then listebn to the 22 min of explanation.
We did, and it was really mindblowing. As a German I am not too familiar with greek films, and I admit: I have chosen this movie because Bruno Ganz is in it. Again, he did not disappoint us. I am really glad we watched this, I learned so much!
