The three leading actors in this film were high school age not college.

Maybe Jessica Biel could pass for college age with her height(Biel was actually a year younger than the girl who played her younger sister on 7th Heaven), but Jonathan Taylor Thomas c'mon!! I guess the actors were close enough to college age at this time to play college age, but it is also odd because it is normally people of college age and slightly older who play high school kids in movies and TV. This was like the reverse.

From how the characters were talking I didnt think they were college kids. Jake said something to his father like "If you were 18 what would you do" and he also said he was there the yea before, and his dad said he hasnt been home since his mom died and he already remarried and that he LET him go away for school. Also Allie called the school a academy. So it might be a boarding school of some kind.

The description of the film was about a college student. I always got the impression it was a college, but they could also be in high school.

The "Palisades College" was fictional and I guess they filmed this in a High School.

I remember being pretty surprised when I found out that Jessica Biel was younger than Beverley Mitchell.
